Chautauqua County DHHS Announces
Animal Rabies Immunization Clinics
With spring just around the corner, the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services has announced a list of upcoming animal rabies immunization clinics. The first one will be held Wednesday, March 28th at the Chautauqua County Humane Society on Strunk Road near Jamestown. The clinic is sponsored by DHHS and the Humane Society and will run from 5:00-7:00 PM. Here is the schedule of clinics:Wednesday, March 28 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road in Jamestown. This clinic is sponsored by the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services and the Chautauqua County Humane Society. Dr. Harry Shaw will be the attending veterinarian.
Saturday, April 14 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Town of Poland Highway Building, 533 Grubb Hill Road in Kennedy. This clinic is sponsored by the Town of Poland and Dr. Mary Fales will be the attending veterinarian.
Saturday, May 19 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Town of Westfield Highway Building, 118 Chestnut Street in Westfield. This clinic is sponsored by the Town of Westfield and the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue. Dr. Katie Ball will be the attending veterinarian.
Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older. All pets must be on a leash or in a cage and pet owners should bring rabies vaccination records for each animal that will be receiving a shot to ensure proper and effective vaccination.
