As is the case with many organizations, here at Lakeshore Humane we are trying to strike a balance to keep the public, our volunteers and our animals as happy and healthy as possible! 💗
With that in mind, we have decided to cancel public adoption days for the immediate future, and limit visits to APPOINTMENT ONLY to view the animals.
With regard to our adoptable dogs and cats, appointments will only be scheduled with an approved application- so if you are interested in one of our fuzzy pals, complete the online application. Once approved, we will reach out to set up a meet and greet.
We appreciate your understanding, and your patience and we are truly grateful for your continued support! 💗😊🐶🐱
**The Lakeshore Humane Society is a non-profit, all volunteer organization, dedicated to helping protect the welfare of all animals and providing humane education to our community. We pride ourselves in being a no-kill shelter.
Not everyone is capable of a monetary donation. That doesn’t mean you are not valuable to us. You can also help us by donating your time. Volunteering is a huge part of LHS, it’s the backbone of our operation. We need volunteers to walk dogs and socialize cats, to lend a hand at our adoption events and fundraisers or as a foster home, we need your help! Check out our section on VOLUNTEERING
"Give me a D! Give me an O! Give me a G! What does that spell? DeeOhGee!" Dogie is a mixed breed who was dealt a bad hand. He's four years old, and despite medical neglect and being shuffled from place to place, this "tough guy" is actually a sweetheart. His exact heritage is a bit of a mystery--maybe a little lab, maybe a little rottie. He came to us in a sorry state--half bald, skin infections, fleas, and more. But his little stump tail wags and wags! He loves treats and being petted and going for walks. We are still getting to know him and figuring out what his ideal home would be like. He needs additional medical treatment, but will be available for adoption soon! Stop by or call 672-1991 and ask about the dog whose name spells "DOG."
Meet Jewlz!! He is approximately 2 years young and gets along with everyone and everything he meets. He would be a wonderful addition to just about any home. He is up to date on vaccinations, and ready to cozy up in your lap immediately. Give us a call for more information!
