As is the case with many organizations, here at Lakeshore Humane we are trying to strike a balance to keep the public, our volunteers and our animals as happy and healthy as possible! 💗

With that in mind, we have decided to cancel public adoption days for the immediate future, and limit visits to APPOINTMENT ONLY to view the animals.

With regard to our adoptable dogs and cats, appointments will only be scheduled with an approved application- so if you are interested in one of our fuzzy pals,  complete the online application.  Once approved, we will reach out to set up a meet and greet.

We appreciate your understanding, and your patience and we are truly grateful for your continued support! 💗😊🐶🐱

**The Lakeshore Humane Society is a non-profit, all volunteer organization, dedicated to helping protect the welfare of all animals and providing humane education to our community. We pride ourselves in being a no-kill shelter.

Not everyone is capable of a monetary donation.  That doesn’t mean you are not valuable to us.  You can also help us by donating your time.  Volunteering is a huge part of LHS, it’s the backbone of our operation.  We need volunteers to walk dogs and socialize cats, to lend a hand at our adoption events and fundraisers or as a foster home, we need your help! Check out our section on VOLUNTEERING

Meet Ra! This handsome fella is 7 years old, and will need to be the only pet in the home.  His former owner gave us lots of great information on this sweet guy- he knows several commands, loves toys, walks well on a leash - annnnd, he sings! This good boy needs a cozy place to snuggle up, and to sing you his songs.  Apply to meet Ra today!

Chance is an friendly, older boy looking for his very own lap to snuggle on. He has feline herpes in his right eye but it does not slow him down or cause any problems. He will just have flare-ups from time to time if he's under stress. The most it would require is an antibiotic. If your interested in Chance please fill out an application online today!
